The Seychelles weather is regulated by two monsoons, both keeping the
archipelago windy and the temperatures nice and enjoyable. Nonetheless,
one of the monsoons brings wet weather, stronger winds and rain from
October to April. The dry season lasts from May to late September or
mid-October. The water temperature is usually around 27oC and can peak
to 30oC in the hottest months. Scuba diving in the Seychelles in an amazing experience as the marine life is abundant and diversified. From shallow water reefs to drastic drop offs, divers will enjoy great visibility, warm water, and sometimes the magic of swimming with big pelagics, which are not rare in the archipelago's waters. Manta rays, humphead "Napoleon" wrasses, sharks, big groupers, and schools of jacks and barracudas are common in the Seychelles. Diving the Seychelles came to its best when the M.V Illusions, a
72 foot (22m) catamaran, specially designed for scuba diving cruises in
South Africa, came to operate in the archipelago. The vessel, owned and operated by real ocean lovers, accommodates a maximum of 12 passengers, divers or non-divers. Customers stay in 7 forced air circulation private cabins, accommodating two persons each. These consist of 5 twin cabins with large bunks and 2 double cabins with queen size beds. Commodities are shared by two cabins. Divers and non divers will enjoy the excellent cuisine of the Seychelles as well as western style food, served in an air conditioned galley / lounge. To increase comfort and safety on board, the operator usually decrease the numbers of guests to 8, although the maximum capacity of the vessel in 12 passengers plus crew.
